THIS RALLY STARTS ON THE THURSDAY. Limit 30 vans. Leveling blocks may be required. Rally Closes 1600 hrs. Directions Follow A4130 through Henley On Thames, Turn Left and go over the river bridge towards Hurley/Maidenhead. Stay on the A4130 until you reach Whitehill Garage (Petrol Station). Take the first turn Right AFTER the garage into Culham Lane (sp Cockpole Green). Continue along this road for approx 1 mile. Site on Left opposite Tractor turning sign. Minimal UTCC signs will be posted. Rally Notes This year sees the resurrection of the Adult Cooking competition. So come on, you asked for it, join in and bake the recipe. Judging will be by those on the rally. High tea will take place as normal, if you would like to bake a cake other than the official recipe please feel free to do so! Plenty of footpaths to explore. Preparation time 20 minutes Cooking Time 2 hours Oven temp 150C, 300F, gas 2 Total calories Loads FOR THE FROSTING 1 egg white / 175g/6oz icing sugar 1 tablespoon golden syrup 3 tablespoons water / grated chocolate 175g/6oz butter or marg / 75g/6oz caster sugar / 3 eggs / 4 tablespoons golden syrup / 50g/2oz ground almonds / 50g/20z cocoa powder / 175g/6oz self raising flour / 150ml/1/4 pint milk Line and grease a deep 20cm/8in round cake tin. Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Line and grease a deep 20cm/8in round cake tin. Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Gradually beat in the eggs. Thoroughly stir in the syrup, almonds and cocoa powder. Carefully fold in the flour and add enough milk to make a mixture with a dropping consistency. Spoon into the tin, smooth the top and bake in a cool oven for about 2 hours. Turn out on to a wire rack to cool . To make the frosting: place ALL the ingredients in a basin over boiling water and whisk until the icing stands in soft eaks. Remove from the heat and continue whisking until cool, then quickly spread it over the cake. Decorate with grated Chocolate
