Rally Opens: Noon and Closes Noon
Whats on: Hampton Ferry was previously part of a medieval Benedictine Monestry and makes a lovely setting near the River Avon for a traditional Easter Rally. The field has a gentle slope so levelling blocks might be required. However, it is on high ground with a gravel track through the centre so we should be ok if a little soggy. We will have hot cross buns on Friday and a visit from the Easter Bunny on Sunday. On Easter Monday the venue traditionally holds an Easter Fun day to raise funds for a local hospice. The venue has its own on site licensed Restaurant (Raphaels) which also serves Ice Creams, Teas, Coffees and cakes, eithere indoors, on the sun deck or in the riverside beer garden. If you would like to explore Evesham, the Town Centre is a short stroll away. You will also find a supermarket near the top of Boat Lane.
Directions: Take A44 from Chipping Norton to Evesham. In Evesham take 1st exit off roundabout (near Castle Nurseries) onto the A46 (Tewksbury). Continue straight, then at 2nd roundabout take 2nd exit (Pershore). At traffic lights on Pershore Road/Waterside junction, continue straight across and onto Abbey Road. Continue until Almonry roundaboutthen take the first exit (Marstow Green/Hampton Ferry). In 130 yards, keep left onto Boat Lane. Proceed with caution past the houses. Our rally field entrance will be at the top of the field on your left as you head towards the river. If you miss the turn, the field has another entrance on the left at the bottom of the lane.
